Bow Restoration

I try to keep a good selection of competitively priced bows in the shop. I search daily for the older pernambucco and Brazil wood bows that are in need of restoration. I really enjoy bringing these old bows back to life and putting them in the hands of someone looking for a good match to their bass.

Tip: It is a very good idea when shopping bows to audition several in your price range at once. You’ll quickly discover that every bow has a different sound and feel. As an example, I often encourage people to bring their bass to the shop and try several bows in their price range without knowing the actual price. It’s surprising sometimes that the bow they choose is not always the most expensive.
